Our December Meeting

It was great that all the girls were present at our meeting this week. I just want to recap who needs to work on what.

Tayla - you need to work on Manners

Lillie - you need to work on Dancersise and Her Story

Claire - you need to work on Her Story

Hali - you need to work on Dancersise, Her Story and Caring and Sharing

Girls work at these at your own pace along with your moms. As soon as you've completed at lease 3 of the activities have your mother let me know so that you can receive the try-it patches.

Our next try-its we will be working on are Cookie Counts, Art To Wear, and Safety Sense. Please look these over.

YEAH! We have our New Brownie Quest Books. I know many of you will be anxious to write in them but please hold off. We are going to work on this quest together as a group.

Have a wonderful Holiday and I cannot wait till our first meeting in 2009.

As the girls know, I thought I lost my camera at the beginning of the first day. So these are the pictures I was able to take with my phone.

I will post tomorrow about our camping experience. Right now I must take a hot bath. We all worked hard and played even harder.

Brownie Vest

I am ordering the troop numbers this week and all the try-it's we've done so far. This is what your vest should look like minus the Quest Badges. Let me know what you are missing.

Juliette's Day

First we all met at the Coffee Shack and jumped into Miss Nancy's Car. We drove to Florida Fish and Wildlife Center and pleasantly surprised that it was an all indoor facility. After signing in we were escorted by Juliette Gordon Low herself to various stations.

This is Jordana at our first stations where we learned a quick sewing stitch.
One of our favorite stations was the pudding toss. We mixed the ingredients into a strong Ziploc bag and we tossed it to each other as we called out each other's name. This mixed the pudding. It was then put into a cake cone and we all had a little treat.

We also had our chance at having our picture taken.

I think the girls all had a great time. It was nice seeing some of the other troops and exchanging swaps. We all look forward to celebrating next year.

Juliette Gordon Low's Birthday Celebration

We are going to celebrate Juliette Gordon Low's birthday on Saturday November 1st. We will meet at The Coffee Shack in the Kabasko's shopping center on Forest Hill Blvd. Next to Olympia at 10:15. You will need to bring a bagged lunch and $8.Nancy and I will drive the girls to the Florida & Wildlife Headquarters. I will have a permission slip for you all to fill out when you drop them off.Thanks and see you Saturday Morning,Juani

Our Next meeting - October 29th

This meeting is going to take place at Claire's House. Her mother Juliet will be e-mailing everyone her address and phone number.

Drop off is at 3:00 and pick up is at 4:30. The actual meeting will start at 3:10 and will end at 4:20. The girls will watch a bit of TV until you arrive. It is important to the girls that we open our meeting on time with all parents and little brothers gone. We also need to close our meeting before parent come for pick up. Thanks.

Nancy and I attended more training this week and we have some great ideas to make this a great experience for the girls.

Welcome Brownie Troop 20690

This is were I will post everything Troop 20690. You are all welcomed to leave comments and suggestions. I have also included a calendar to help you all prepare for coming events and meeting information. I encourage you all to bookmark this blog and check it regularly for updates.

These are some pictures from our last meeting. We worked on Let's Pretend Try -It. We put our best face forward by making masks. We also dressed up and put on short shows for each other.
This is going to be a great Adventure for all of us and Nancy, and I are committed to you.
